BILLING POLICIES


The following Terms of Use constitute Invent Spark's Billing Policy and apply to ALL Invent Spark customers:

 

Payments

All charges are shown in US Dollars.  Invent Spark accepts the following types of payment:

 

> Credit Card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)

 

All payments are due on the Account Statement Date. The Account Statement Date is the monthly/quarterly/yearly anniversary of the date the account was activated. If you provide Invent Spark your credit card information, you authorize Invent Spark to automatically charge your credit or debit card for charges that apply to your account. Recurring charges will be posted to your credit card until such time that you cancel your account in accordance with Invent spark Billing Policy. You are responsible for directly updating, or notifying Invent Spark, of any changes to your credit card (including, but not limited to card number, expiration date, billing address, or card status).

Accounts that are thirty (30) days past due will be automatically suspended. All past due and unpaid balances are subject to collection. In the event of collection, you will be liable for costs of collection including attorney's fees, court costs, and collection agency fees.

Account Renewals

In order to insure uninterrupted service to your Invention Listing page, all plans will automatically renew at the end of the plan's Billing Cycle. Plan renewal charges are based on the prevailing rate on the date of renewal according to the service selected. Plans are renewed for the same billing cycle. If you wish to cancel your plan before plan renewal, please refer to the Cancellation section below.

 

Statements

Invent Spark does not mail paper invoices or statements. Statements can be viewed and printed through Billing control panel.


Cancellations

Invention Listing plans will automatically renew until a plan is cancelled.  In order to cancel service, contact support with subject title "Cancel Invention Listing". Please be aware that there are no pro-rated refunds for monthly and quarterly Invention Listing plans.

Cancellation requests must be received by
Invent Spark a minimum of ten (10) days prior to the end of your Billing Cycle.  Cancellations submitted later than this time may result in automatic renewal of your Invention Listing plan. Cancellations become effective on the day processed by Invent Spark. Invent Spark is unable to cancel your account effective for a future date.  Invent Spark will confirm the cancellation request when it is processed. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact Invent Spark as soon as possible.

Cancellation of services does not relieve the customer from paying any outstanding balance owed on the account. Invent Spark, Inc. reserves the right to cancel any account, at any time, without notice, for any reason Invent Spark, Inc. considers appropriate.

Billing/Price Changes

Invent Spark policies and prices are subject to change without notice. Any price changes become effective in the next billing cycle.

Invention Listing Billing

Invention Listings are billed on 1 month, 3 month and yearly cycles. Payments are made in advance based on the billing cycle selected. Accounts are automatically renewed at the end of each billing cycle for the next cycle to avoid interruption of service.

 

Refunds

Invention Listings:

There are three subscription levels for listing your invention in the Invent Spark database - monthly, quarterly and yearly. 

The monthly and quarterly subscriptions have a recurring fee on the first day of each month or quarter, based on when the customer first subscribed to the listing service.  When the customer requests that their listing be withdrawn from the database after the billing cycle of that month/quarter, no refund shall be supplied, however they may choose to keep their listing until the end of that month/quarter.

For yearly subscriptions, once the customer has requested to withdraw their invention from the database, Invent Spark shall process the request and prorate the remaining months in the form of a refund to the customer's credit card, minus a $12.95 processing fee.

Discounts

Occasionally, Invent Spark will run special promotions for its current members and will provide a promotional code to receive a special discount.  The promotional code should be entered in the "Promo Code" field at the time of purchase to receive the discount.  Further, such discounts and promotions may not be applied with transactions already processed, only for new transactions for the time period listed in the specific promotion.
