Invention/Technology Overview
The Air Direct Channel is an externally mounted deflection or channeling device for H-Vac systems (central air with wall mounted air- vents). It mounts either permanently or temporarily onto virtually any type of wall, and in front of the existing wall-vent opening; channeling the air from the vent: 3-ft., 4-ft. or 5-ft. away. It's recessed a mere 2" off the wall, allowing the homeowner, business owner or the renter, a little versatility in the furniture layout of any room. Let's face it, those wall mounted air-vents are Not always in the most desired location, and even if they are, every now and then we like to shift our furmiture or equipment around in a given room; and we don't like or floor plan and layout always dictated to us, by our heating and cooling source.
Novelty and Benefits
There is no other product like it on the market. The closest thing to it is a deflection cap, which Home Depot sells; but it only deflects the air from your vent towards another direction. It does Not channel the air, allowing you to place furniture or equipment in front of the existing wall vent. Since this is the only one of it's kind, it's kind of hard classifying it in a category; other than H-Vac ducting. But this product allows you to re-assign the location of your air register, with-out opening up your walls and rearranging your internal duct-work. Market demand for this product is dictated by the knowledge of the product; and by those with wall mounted vents. Give them this alternative, and they'll show just how necessary this product is.
