Invention/Technology Overview

Wing Sea Glider is a personal watercraft that can be used as a mode of transportation or as a recreational craft. It can be used in harbors, lakes, ponds, rivers, and coastal travel or any open waterway. The initial concept of the craft is a hybrid of a motorbike, Jet Ski, and surfboard. The design is user-friendly all the components allow for easy handling and maneuvering. The design resembles a motorbike with its wheels removed and a surfboard attached under the base so that it may glide on the surface of the water.

Windshield splashguard is included in the design, as well as a saddle seat which hugs the rider tightly; Inner seat belts are also included. Under the seat you'll find a few safety items and first aid, such as life vest, portable VHF radio, flare gun, and the like.
In the event the bike is toppled and the rider/s is thrown off; the craft will float on its side enabling the rider/s to regain control by its ability to have a lower center of gravity by a push of a button.

The handles includes anti-slip rubber handgrips with an engine kill ripcord in the event of lost of control. A helmet should be worn like a motorbike operator. Inner radio headset may be included. The craft includes turn signals, headlights for night riding; an anti-collision system may also be included in the design to detect obstacle in the distance; especially for night riding.

The glider hull is designed to shed water from the craft and allow for smooth maneuvering through the water. The dial-like devices on the upper and lower arms are connection joints for angular movement of the front rear suspension of the craft; these features are optional and useful for beaching or transporting.

There is a lot of space between the undercarriage and the rear base glider in the event main base glider needs to be redesigned. Below the suspension is the attachment of the main base support glider, which is similar to an airplane with wings, which can be design to retract for high speed maneuvering.

The glider can be designed to be fully disassembly; a few features of the craft are mostly obvious. But it already looks like a police marine cruiser and if the rear base glider is removed it can be converted to a new type of snow mobile.

The device may be turned on by ignition or remotely; operating it is basically no different than a motorcycle on a highway

The device may run on fuel, electrical power, or a hybrid of both. The craft has a console to display gauges and operating status. A navigation system may be installed if desired. The exact specifications may vary.

Novelty and Benefits

Many individuals who live near water would prefer to utilize waterways for travel as opposed to driving on congested highways or spending money on a flight. However, owning and operating a boat is a big commitment and can be expensive. Current personal watercraft models are often not user-friendly and are not designed for traveling long distances. A more efficient option is needed, the Sea Glider is the same concept as a motor bike but on water. The craft has GPS plotting and will take you to any location you desire or it can be self navigated.
